The Bee Gees’ 1969 double album “Odessa” has been expanded for a 40th anniversary reissue, due Jan. 13. The three-disc set includes stereo and mono mixes of the project, plus 22 unreleased tracks from the period.
“Odessa” was recorded in New York and London as the Bee Gees were ascending to stardom around the world. Perhaps inspired by ambitious, artsy albums of the time from the Beatles and the Beach Boys, the Bee Gees experimented with orchestral arrangements and thematic threads.
